Usman Shehzad, MD, is a vascular neurologist and Stroke Director at Bayhealth Medical Center in Delaware, where he has led acute stroke care initiatives since 2021. He currently serves as Chair of the Delaware Stroke System of Care, overseeing statewide efforts to improve stroke quality, coordination, and access. Dr. Shehzad completed vascular neurology fellowship training at the University of Rochester and neurology residency at Stony Brook University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. His academic work includes oral presentations and peer-reviewed publications focused on thrombolysis, large vessel occlusion, and stroke systems of care. He is board certified in neurology and an active member of major neurology and stroke societies.
