Biography
Fawen Zhang is a Professor of Audiology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati. Between 1989 and 2022, she received her medical degrees in Medicine and Otolaryngology and practiced as an otolaryngologist in China; between 2002 and 2027, she received a PhD in Audiology and completed a 2-year postdoctoral training in the United States; since 2007, she has been a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati. Her research focus on neural mechanisms of human speech perception and brain plasticity using neurophysiological techniques.
