Biography
Dr. Elahi attended UCLA and the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (AAPN) has certified him in neurology.
Dr. Elahi has been involved in clinical and basic science research throughout his career, including as the principal investigator in NIMH and NIH-sponsored work. He has presented his work in peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, professional meetings, and invited lectures. Most recently, he has committed most of his work to developing modern neuromodulation strategies for treating neurological disorders.
