Neurosurgery and Spine

Neurosurgery, also known as brain surgery, is a very specialized surgery involving the spinal cord, brain, and related nervous system. It includes general neurosurgery to address trauma and emergencies and specialized fields like oncologic, pediatric, and spinal neurosurgery. This covers all disorders throughout the nervous system.
The spine is one of the most critical aspects of the human body as it serves as a preventive support to protect the delicate spinal cord, which in turn prevents any potential injuries. Relay of signals in both the directions that is between the brain and different body parts is also regulated by the spine, allowing the transmission of neural signals. Consequently, any dysfunctions or disruptions in the spine can lead to adverse neurological consequences, stating its critical role in overall health.
