Neurodegenerative Disease (NDD) and Neurological Disorders are dangerous conditions characterized by degeneration or improper functioning of neurons, glial cells, or neural networks in the nervous system. This may include movement abnormality (ataxias), cognitive impairments (dementia), and many other underlying problems with mobility, respiration, and communication. NDD is incurable, and the diseases place a significant practical and emotional strain on those affected and their family.
Neurological disorders are medical conditions that can affect the whole neural network of the body, including the brain. Abnormalities in the structure or metabolism of the spinal cord, brain, or related nerves can induce a variety of symptoms.
