Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuropsychology

Neurophysiology, a specialist discipline of health sciences, focuses on assessing and evaluating nervous system functionality rather than nervous system anatomy. Neurophysiology allows surgeons to distinguish between active brain tissue and other tissues in real-time. It also provides for ongoing monitoring of how relevant somatic nerve structures function and perform overall.
Neuropsychology is a branch of psychology that explores the relationship between the functions of the Brain and Behaviour. This includes both cognitive processes and abnormalities caused by damage or disease. It investigates the complicated relationships between human cognition and perception, as well as the underlying brain structures and biological systems, beyond the scope of neurology.
